TANYA YOUNG, Strength & Conditioning Coach (BSc, CSCS, NASM)

Better known as ’TY’, Tanya’s love of sport propelled her forward into pursuing a BSc in Kinesiology and a qualification in Athletic Therapy. This allowed her the opportunity to work extensively in an injury and rehabilitation setting with various athletes, including ice hockey, American football, volleyball and rugby. Upon coming to Hong Kong in 2008, TY pursued her love of rugby with Valley RFC and went on to represent Hong Kong at the National level. In addition to rugby, TY’s desire to continue a career in sport and fitness saw her complete her NASM certification in Personal Training, followed by accreditations in Precision Nutrition Level 1 & 2 and most recently, her level 4 with Strength and Conditioning Education. 

TY has spent her time in the industry, working with men and women from the general population to top level athletes, to develop their strength and conditioning qualities as well as their nutrition and lifestyle habits.  In this time, she has also gained extensive experience in programming and coaching development. She is passionate about leading and coaching a balanced lifestyle that is void of restrictions and “all or nothing” mentalities and enjoys the challenge  of complementing the Strength and Conditioning of Pinnacle Athletes with this style of coaching and instill the same values in her Nutrition clients as they go through their own journeys.
