HEAD OF COACHING DEVELOPMENT

(Full Time)

Reporting to: Operations Manager, Pinnacle Directors

KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES

Build the ecosystem of coaching expertise for the Pinnacle Group. By owning the innovation and structure of how we develop our team and coaching culture you will execute a key role in ensuring our people do what they do best and drive the industry forward.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

World Class Coaching Framework. Create and deliver annual structure of development programmes; Utilise the full annual CPD budget; 

  • Coaching Competencies. Work with Interns and Tier 1-3 coaches to ensure continuous development and improvement in performance metrics, as well as progression through the tiers;

  • Coaching Pipeline. Mentorship programme to nurture aspiring and experienced coaches and establish a clear path for professional growth and advancement;

  • Collaborative Community. Foster peer-to-peer learning and knowledge-sharing culture;

  • Team Growth. Enhance onboarding and coach integration processes; Work with local universities and accreditation providers in the region to evolve our existing Internship programme into an industry leading academy of coaching excellence;

  • Solve for Isolation. Our coaches often deliver on their own. You will be expected to solve this by exploring technological, self reporting, observational, and athlete feedback tools;

  • Industry Conference. World class excellence in the role will realise our vision of delivering annual conferences and high performance summits in Hong Kong.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education: A bachelor's or master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field

  • Extensive coaching background: 5+ years of proven experience as a results driven strength and conditioning coach in the private or professional sports sector 

  • Leadership experience: Previous experience in a management, supervisory, or head coach role demonstrating the ability to lead staff and programs.

  • Mentorship and development: Experience training and mentoring other professionals.

  • Proven track record: A history of achieving measurable athlete success

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred:

  • Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency

  • Experience in leading conferences and training events

WORK ARRANGEMENT AND HOURS OF WORK

Employment Type: Full Time

Primary Work Location:  Hong Kong (HK residence/work authorization required).

Salary: HK$40,000 per month plus quarterly bonus and coaching commissions
