Strength & Conditioning coach

Reporting to: RHKYC Senior Coach, Senior Management and Pinnacle Directors

KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of training interventions to their lead members as well as coaching delivery as part of a team to the full membership base. As part of Pinnacle’s corporate fitness provisions, the successful applicant will be responsible for creating positive change for a membership base and must be able to demonstrate excellent standards of knowledge and coaching delivery at all times. The successful applicant must demonstrate a passion for working with general population individuals and the drive to create lasting change with athlete members of all abilities and backgrounds. Pinnacle demand a high level of communication within a multi-disciplinary team, and of information and member training support, hence the successful applicant must be able to deliver these standards as well as be capable of working unsupervised and delivering exemplary standards of coaching, and professionalism at all times. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Member management including consultations, profiling & reviews, and training reliability;

  • Coaching of members in line with their schedules and goals;

  • Accurate and timely communication of members’ status and session reviews;

  • Timely feedback and self reflection as part of the ongoing educational processes;

  • Prescription and delivery of multiple daily training sessions of up to 8 members;

  • Advise and provision of Personal Training opportunities for members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • UKSCA and/or ASCA and/or NSCA accreditation or evidence of work towards such qualification;

  • Experience of working with various population groups which may include young athletes and/or disabled population,

  • Experience in the prescription, intervention and delivery of S&C provision for various populations (preferably sailing, rowing, paddling, and other on-the-water sport athletes);

  • Experience in the delivery of day-to-day training sessions to groups of athletes;

  • Experience in the delivery of 1:1 or personal training sessions;

  • Fluency in spoken and written English language.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science or related discipline;

  • Experience in delivery of boxing training;

  • Experience in delivery of yoga and/or pilates sessions;

  • Working knowledge of spoken Cantonese and Mandarin; 

  • Ability to potentially lead, develop and deliver Challenges and Events throughout the year.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

Full Time Salary:  HK$15,000 pm, including MPF contributions; 

Commission Structure: 50% Commission on training package sales revenue

Work Location: Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
